In my last post on "Windows 8 Pro+WMC activation", i told you how to activate your copy of Windows 8 using KMS servers. Those servers might not be working now due to some problems. So, here is the list of all new working KMS servers and list of KMS Client keys for activating your copy of Windows 8 :

Follow these steps one by one:
a - Run command prompt(cmd) as administrator.
b - Type in - slmgr -skms enter your kms server here
c - slmgr.vbs -ato
d - slmgr /ckms (After Getting Activated Message)

ReplyDeleteHi, I'm the same one who replyed under the older post. I reinstalled windows 8 (I'm using a virtual machine to avoid risks). Is it important the fact that I chose a different timezone and language from the default during the setup process? Anyway I've previously reinstalled using the key you give for 8Pro, I tried all the servers but they keep giving the same error, the one you said to solve by syncronizing the clock with the time.windows.com server... Any help? Could the servers be down?

ReplyDeleteError: 0*c004F074 The Software Licensing reported that the computer could not be activated.No key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted.Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
This error occurs if your time is not synchronized with time.windows.com. or if the servers are down or unavailable. So, make sure everything is set properly and then proceed to activation and do run CMD as administrator. To know how to sync the time, see the below comments....hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteOn taskbar, click on the time> Change date and time settings> Internet Time> Change Settings> Then check "Sync with an internet time server"> Select the server "time.windows.com" and update. When update is complete, hit OK.
