Almost a year ago we released our first version – SuperX “Galileo”. The support period is now nearing its end and Galileo will reach end of life on 25th of October 2012. At that time, SuperX repositories will no longer include updated packages for SuperX Galileo.
SuperX “Galileo” default desktop
Based on the 2.6 Linux kernel, SuperX “Galileo” was released in on 8th October 2011 and was the first version of SuperX; the first release and came with KDE SC 4.6. Built-in applications included the LibreOffice productivity suite, Chromium web browser, the Gwenview image viewer, Totem media player etc..
Users still running Galileo are advised to upgrade to SuperX “Cassini”. For those who would like to upgrade, do a backup of your data and perform a clean install of the newer version.
